Our Story
| |
In the summer/fall of 2010 a handful of imperfect people started a church with a simple desire: to reach others who were unconnected to Jesus and to grow together as a community of people devoted to Him. Since then, many more imperfect people, just like us, have found a home at Bridge Christian Church.
In our journey we are finding the hope, peace, and transformation that comes through a personal relationship with Jesus. We believe this relationship is created and fostered through a community of desperate individuals - growing, worshipping, and serving together.

*Bridge is a non-denominational Christian Church currently lead by the lead pastor and the management team made up of elders and pastors from supporting churches. Bridge's own elders will be put in place as they are raised up from within the church.
Mission- Love God, Love Neighbor, Make Disciples
The heartbeat of Bridge Christian Church is found within its
name. Not only does our name speak to the numerous physical bridges in
Chattanooga, but most importantly to the purpose of our existence as a
church. We believe that everyone is on a journey, and that too often
there are barriers for those seeking spiritual truth and honest dialogue
concerning Christianity. We seek to eliminate those barriers in
order to become together who God has called us to be.
Vision- to create communities of people who live like Jesus
Our strategy in fulfilling our vision is built around the
“neighborhood.” Neighborhood for us is loosely defined as those living
within close proximity. For some that may be an actual neighborhood,
for others it may be an apartment complex, or houses nearby. Thus, our
strategy will be to connect people geographically in shared home groups.

Values
Prayer. We believe that conversing back and
forth (individually & corporately) with our Father in Heaven is the
best way for us to become who we are meant to be.
Neighboring. We believe in reaching out to our
neighbors with the good news of Jesus Christ, and creating community
among people that live in close proximity. We also believe in becoming
intentional neighbors with communities around the world.
Sacrificial Sharing. We believe that the church
should redistribute its resources to help those in need and to ensure a
loose grip on the things of this world.
Risk. We believe that a church willing to risk everything for God can count on God to accomplish His purpose for that community.
Mentorship. We believe it is our mandate in making
disciples to share very relationally with others the knowledge, skills,
and opportunities that have been entrusted to us.
Fun. We believe that when the church gathers, it should be the most enjoyable experience.
